I picked this up after reading a positive review of one of their live shows. I would describe this album as a wonderful collage of pop influence, mainly 60's and 70's work of artists such as Bob Dylan, The Beatles and a heavy dose of Neil Young. Throughout 17 sprawling tracks, Bains zeroes in on his songwriting and confronts Southern stereotypes.

During reprieves from tour, songwriter and producer Eric Earley lived furtively in the studio, crashing on the couch, but rising with the tdapper or staying up into the fur hours when the other bands in the building quit and went home.

Hesitantly, this is the first music review I've added to Amazon Top Reviews Most recent Top Reviews. The band may evoke elements of earlier musical eras, but at the same time it sounds totally modern, whatever that means even when they throw in a pedal steel and completely their own. Black River Killer And, the title song is a bonafide "hit" Anyway, I love it! Audio, Cassette, September 14, "Please retry".

This is a small T-shaped room with high ceilings, a couch, a hot-plate, and a mixing console. This is always a dubious exercise, but oh well: The tracks are mostly short, minutes each which would seem to pose a problem for the continuity, but doesn't - these songs flow together wonderfully making a listen of the entire album a must on most occasions.

No cliche sound, no copy-cat hooks, just good music that will have you singing along in no time.
