Author Vonda Sinclair has an incredible gift in writing strong, fierce characters. Isobel is such a natural character, nothing seems forced about her. Following please sinclaig a snippet from a favorite scene where the couple are sharing sleeping arrangements - but not sleeping together As for Dirk's stepmother, the other half of the villainy, she was a little more three dimensional. Can't wait to read her next story reviewed 6 days after purchase. Dirk, himself also needed protecting from an evil stepmother that wanted him dead. I don't enjoy reading from the POV of the villain unless it's absolutely necessary or moves the plot along and I felt his did neither.
